Do I need a Type-Approved carrier?

If your motorhome was manufactured after 2012, it’s subject to Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA). In that case, any carrier you attach should also be Type-Approved to meet safety and legal standards. We recommend Type-Approved options, especially for newer vehicles.

Will my motorcycle fit on one of your carriers?

We offer a variety of carriers suited for different sizes and weights. While we can’t mount a full-size Harley Davidson, we can typically accommodate most scooters and lightweight motorcycles. Contact us with your bike’s make and model, and we’ll advise accordingly.

Do I need chassis extensions?

In some cases—especially for heavier loads—chassis extensions are recommended to ensure safe and stable mounting. We’ll let you know during the consultation if they’re required for your setup.

Towbar vs Chassis-Mounted Carriers

Towbar carriers, like the Towtal ScootRack, are quick to install and remove but may have lower weight limits. Chassis-mounted carriers are more permanent and allow for higher load capacities and greater stability—especially useful for scooters and motorbikes.

Can I carry both a scooter and bicycles?

Yes! Some of our Linnepe carriers have interchangeable platforms, allowing you to switch between carrying a scooter and push bikes with ease.

Do the carriers come with lights and wiring?

Yes, all our carriers include integrated lighting. Type-Approved models use a 13-pin socket, while others use a 7-pin connection.
