As our work is so seasonal, the waiting list varies with the time of year. Although the actual fitting of the bar takes 5 – 7 hours, the booking in time ranges from 7 days in winter right up to 6 weeks in the summer.
All of our towbars are bolted on and we do not condone welding a towbar to a motor home. The bars are approved by the manufacturer and we also have several contracts with large main agents. Although the bar can be removed from the vehicle, we don’t guarantee it will fit another. Because motor homes are not built on a production line, the chassis and extensions are only built to a 50mm tolerance, we have to build the bar to suit the van.
We try not to do colour-coded bars, but have found that 99% of motorhomes stick to a strict silver, black, white, dark grey or light grey colour scheme. We can offer you a colour coding service, but we would need the vehicle overnight.
We do offer a product called the Splash Stop as an optional extra. These do add to the cost of your towbar, but they are the best anti-spray system on the market.
As long as its not an automatic or permanent 4WD you should be all fine. If its got an electronic handbrake then that can be a problem. Please seek advice from the manufacturer.
